Adron kept feed for the cattle in the barn, which can be seen in the background of the photo. Adrienne and I liked to sneak down to the barn and eat the fresh cottonseed cake, when a fresh shipment came in.


The doctor recommended that Adron and Johnie give their son, Alan, who had a medical condition, goat milk to drink. After the goat had served his dual purpose, as a provider of milk and Adrienne’s pet, Adrienne was shocked to find a white goatskin rug lying on the barn floor.
