Adrienne started to school when she was five because there weren’t enough children to justify having a school at Lon, NM without her. On the first day of school, when Adron left Adrienne in the schoolroom, and headed back to his truck, he looked around and Adrienne was following him - she didn't want to stay. At the school, the children were required to finish all of the food on their plate; in an attempt to avoid having to eat some fat meat, Adrienne hid it in her pocket, which resulted in a big greasy spot on her dress.
